🃏 Poker Drinking Games

The king of casino games meets drinking rules. These poker variations add liquid stakes to every hand. Perfect for your regular poker night or a casino-themed party. Pairs well with Kings Cup for card game variety.

1. Texas Hold’em Drinking Edition

Play standard Texas Hold’em with these drinking rules: Fold = 1 drink. Lose a showdown = 2 drinks. Get bluffed out (opponent shows garbage) = 3 drinks. Win the pot = assign drinks equal to number of players who folded. River card completes your hand = “RIVER!” and everyone else drinks.

Best for: 4-8 players who know poker basics

2. Poker Face Challenge

During each hand, players try to make others laugh or break their poker face. If someone laughs, smiles, or shows emotion before the hand ends, they drink. Stone-faced winners get to assign drinks to the most expressive player.

Best for: 4-6 players who think they’re unreadable

3. All-In Shots

Whenever someone goes all-in, EVERYONE at the table takes a shot (or big sip). If the all-in player wins, they assign an additional shot to anyone. If they lose, they take a second shot. High stakes, high drinks.

Best for: 4-8 players who like drama

4. Five Card Draw & Drink

Classic Five Card Draw where you drink for each card you discard. Discard 3 cards? Take 3 sips. Keep all 5 (pat hand)? Everyone else takes 2 drinks. Winner assigns drinks, loser with worst hand chugs.

Best for: 3-6 players, simpler than Hold’em

5. Blind Man’s Bluff

Each player gets one card they hold on their forehead (they can’t see their own card but everyone else can). Bet on whether you think you have the highest card. Bluff, fold, or go all-in based on others’ reactions. Losers drink based on how badly they lost.

Best for: 4-8 players, hilarious with drinks involved

6. Bad Beat Insurance

If you lose with a “good” hand (two pair or better beaten), the winner has to drink with you in solidarity. The worse the bad beat, the more drinks for the winner. Full house beaten? Winner takes 5 drinks. Sympathy sips!

Best for: Experienced poker players who know pain

7. Dealer’s Choice Chaos

Rotate the dealer each hand, and the dealer picks the poker variant AND a special drinking rule for that hand. Options: “Pairs drink,” “Red cards = drink,” “Lowest kicker drinks,” etc. Keeps everyone guessing.

Best for: 4-6 players who want variety

🎴 Blackjack Drinking Games

Blackjack’s simple rules make it perfect for drinking game adaptation. Beat the dealer, don’t bust, and keep your buzz going. These variations work great with card drinking games for pairs or groups.

8. Blackjack Sips

Play standard blackjack against a dealer. Bust = chug your drink. Lose to dealer = drink the point difference (dealer has 20, you have 17 = 3 drinks). Push = social drink. Blackjack = dealer drinks 5. Dealer bust = everyone cheers and dealer drinks.

Best for: 2-7 players per table

9. Double Down Danger

Standard blackjack, but when you double down, you’re doubling your drink stakes too. Win a double down = assign 4 drinks. Lose a double down = drink 4. The high risk, high reward of Vegas in liquid form.

Best for: 3-6 confident players

10. Split Decision

When you split a pair, you’re playing two hands — and two drink stakes. Win both = assign 6 drinks total. Win one, lose one = break even. Lose both = finish your drink. Splitting aces and losing is double embarrassment.

Best for: 2-5 players with chips to burn

11. Insurance Shots

When the dealer shows an ace, anyone can take “insurance” — a preventive shot. If dealer has blackjack, those who took insurance don’t drink the penalty. Those who didn’t take insurance drink double. Hedge your bets!

Best for: 3-6 risk calculators

12. Speed Blackjack

30-second timer per decision. If you don’t hit or stand in time, you automatically stand AND drink. Fast pace means fast drinking. Dealer goes even faster. First to bust three times has to deal next round.

Best for: 3-5 players who like pressure

13. Blackjack Bingo

Create bingo cards with blackjack outcomes (bust on 22, dealer blackjack, split and win both, etc.). Mark off as they happen. First to bingo gets to make a house rule for the next 10 hands. Everyone else drinks.

Best for: 4-8 players for longer sessions

🎡 Roulette Party Games

The spinning wheel of fortune — and drinks. You don’t need a professional wheel (though it helps). Spinner apps or even a bottle spin work for these games.

14. Shot Roulette

Classic party game. Arrange shot glasses in a circle with different drinks (some strong, some weak, one with hot sauce or pickle juice). Spin the wheel/bottle to determine which shot you take. Colors can indicate strength level.

Best for: 4-12 players, iconic party game

15. Bet the Color

Everyone places drink bets on red or black (or specific numbers for bigger stakes). Spin the wheel. Wrong color = drink your bet. Right color = assign your bet to someone else. Zero/green = everyone drinks 3.

Best for: 4-10 players with a roulette wheel

16. Number Neighbor

Each player picks a number 1-36. Spin the wheel. Whoever’s number is closest to the result assigns drinks to the furthest. If your exact number hits, you become the “house” and can make one rule for the next 5 spins.

Best for: 4-8 players

17. Roulette Roulette

Write different drinking challenges on paper, place them on roulette numbers. Spin the wheel, do whatever challenge your number shows: “Waterfall,” “Never Have I Ever round,” “Truth or Dare,” “Arm wrestle the person to your left,” etc.

Best for: 6-12 players who want variety

18. High Roller Wheel

Players accumulate chips throughout the night. At designated times, they can bet chips on roulette spins. Big winners at the end get prizes. Big losers… drink penalties based on how broke they are.

Best for: 8-15 players, all-night events

🎲 Craps & Dice Games

Dice games bring the energy of the craps table to your party. No casino knowledge required — just roll and react. See also dice drinking games for more options.

19. Craps Simplified

Roll two dice. 7 or 11 on first roll = natural win (assign 3 drinks). 2, 3, or 12 = craps (drink 3). Any other number becomes your “point” — keep rolling until you hit your point (win) or hit 7 (lose and drink 5).

Best for: 4-10 players learning craps

20. Snake Eyes Shots

Pass dice around the circle. Roll snake eyes (double 1s) = take a shot. Roll doubles of any other number = assign drinks equal to the number shown. Roll a 7 = pass the dice and stay safe. Simple and deadly.

Best for: 4-12 players

21. Liar’s Dice Casino

Each player has 5 dice in a cup. Make increasingly bold claims about what dice are under ALL cups combined (“There are six 4s”). Next player can raise the bid or call “Liar!” Loser drinks. Last player with dice wins.

Best for: 3-6 players who love bluffing

22. Ship Captain Crew

Roll 5 dice trying to get 6 (ship), 5 (captain), 4 (crew) in order. Remaining two dice are your “cargo” score. Highest cargo wins. Losers drink the difference. Can’t get ship-captain-crew in 3 rolls? Finish your drink.

Best for: 2-6 players

23. Midnight (or 1-4-24)

Roll 6 dice. Set aside at least one die each roll. Goal: Get a 1 and a 4, then score highest with remaining four dice. Highest score wins. Lowest score drinks. Tie? Both drink and roll off.

Best for: 2-8 players

24. Hot Dice

Roll all 6 dice. Score points for 1s, 5s, three-of-a-kind, straights, etc. Push your luck by continuing to roll non-scoring dice, but roll no points and you “farkle” — lose all points that turn AND drink. First to 10,000 wins.

Best for: 2-6 players who like risk

🂡 Casino Card Games

Beyond poker and blackjack, these casino card games translate perfectly to drinking formats. Great variety for your casino night rotation.

25. Casino War

Each player flips one card, highest wins. Tie? Go to “war” — place 3 face-down, flip the 4th. Winner takes all. Loser of each battle drinks. Lose a war? Drink 5. Simple, fast, and surprisingly intense.

Best for: 2-6 players, perfect warmup game

26. Baccarat Light

Two hands are dealt: “Player” and “Banker.” Bet on which will be closer to 9 (or tie). Tens and face cards = 0. Winning bet = assign drinks. Losing bet = drink. Tie bet wins = everyone drinks to you.

Best for: 4-8 players who want to feel fancy

27. Red Dog

Dealer places two cards face up. Bet on whether the next card falls between them. Wider spread = safer bet, lower reward. Narrow spread = risky, big drinks assigned if you win. Card outside the spread? Drink the gap.

Best for: 3-6 players

28. Acey Deucey

Two cards dealt. Bet on whether the third is between them. Ace-Deuce (widest spread) means you MUST bet. Hit the post (match either card) = drink double. Perfect for quick rounds between bigger games.

Best for: 3-8 players

29. Three Card Poker

Get dealt 3 cards, decide to play or fold based on hand strength. Fold = drink 1. Play and lose = drink 2. Play and win = assign 3. Bonus drinks for premium hands: straight flush = assign 5, three of a kind = assign 4.

Best for: 4-7 players

💰 Chip Betting Challenges

These games use your casino night chips as currency. Winning and losing chips translates to drinking consequences. Keep everyone invested all night.

30. Chip Auction

Throughout the night, auction off prizes (actual items, “skip next drink” cards, “assign 5 drinks” powers). Players bid chips. At night’s end, remaining chips can be converted to assigning drinks (10 chips = 1 assigned drink).

Best for: 8-20 players, all-night events

31. Bounty Hunters

Each player has a “bounty” chip on them. Eliminate someone from a poker game = claim their bounty + they drink. Bounty chips at the end = bonus prizes. Gets aggressive and personal in the best way.

Best for: 6-12 tournament players

32. Mystery Box Bets

Place sealed envelopes on the table with hidden prizes/consequences inside. Players can bet chips to open a box. Could be “Free pass from 5 drinks” or “Take a shot immediately.” Risk vs. reward gambling at its finest.

Best for: 6-15 players who like surprises

33. Side Bet Specials

During any main game, announce side bets: “First person to bust in the next 5 hands,” “Next blackjack at this table,” etc. Players bet chips. Creates game-within-a-game dynamics. Side bet losers drink extra.

Best for: Any game with 4+ players

34. The Vault

Central chip pot that grows throughout the night. Contribute chips to unlock “vault powers” like immunity from one drinking penalty, power to close a table, or end-of-night prize claims. Broke players have to earn chips back through drinking challenges.

Best for: 10-20 players, full casino night events

🏆 Team Tournament Games

Split your party into teams (or “houses” in Vegas terms) for competitive casino action. Perfect for larger groups. See also team party games for more ideas.

35. Table Takeover

Teams compete at each casino station. Winning team at a table “takes over” that game. Team with most table takeovers wins. Losing team does a group drinking challenge chosen by winners.

Best for: 8-16 players in 2-4 teams

36. Relay Gambling

Teams line up. First player runs to blackjack table, plays one hand, returns. Next player goes. First team to win 5 hands total wins. Losing players on each hand drink before returning to the line. Fast and chaotic.

Best for: 8-12 players, 2 teams

37. Chip Championship

Teams pool their chips at the end of the night. Total team chips determines the winner. Losing teams drink based on the gap. Creates incentive to help teammates and strategize together.

Best for: 10-20 players in 2-4 teams

38. Tag Team Poker

Teams of 2 at the poker table. Can tag out between hands or even mid-hand for advice. If your team gets eliminated, both members drink. Adds strategy and support systems to the game.

Best for: 8-12 players in pairs

39. Casino Olympics

Multiple events throughout the night: poker tournament, blackjack speed round, dice rolling accuracy, chip stacking contest. Points for placement in each. Overall winning team gets to assign a drinking challenge to all losers.

Best for: 12-24 players, 3-6 teams
